Abstract

This study aims to analyze the development of students' critical thinking skills through Civics (PKn) learning in elementary schools. Critical thinking is skills essential Which must developed since age early For prepare a generation that is capable of facing 21st century challenges. The research method used is a literature review by analyzing various relevant sources related to the implementation Civics learning that supports the development of critical thinking. The analysis shows that Civics learning has great potential in developing students' critical thinking skills through several approaches such as problem-based learning, class discussions, and case analysis. Challenges faced include limited teacher competency, the dominance of conventional learning, and the lack of evaluations that measure critical thinking skills. This study recommends the need for teacher professional development, renewal of learning approaches, and adjustments to the evaluation system. to optimize the development of critical thinking skills in civics learning in elementary schools.
