Strategy Learning Civics for Formation National Character in Elementary Schools (Theoretical Analysis)

Strengthening character education is the main foundation in form the next generation of the nation with integrity in Indonesia. Through this process, students are guided to have attitudes and behaviors that reflect values sublime nation. Objective of character education is to rebuild the identity of citizens based on Pancasila, which includes mark religiosity, faith, honesty,empathy social, until politeness in interactions. In this context, civics education (PKn) becomes a strategic medium for instilling character values, as its primary content encompasses the formation of citizens with a democratic spirit and strong character in accordance with the basic values of Pancasila. Therefore, PKn learning is an appropriate platform for shaping the morals and character of the younger generation from an early age. This article aims to theoretically analyze various approaches and strategies for civics learning oriented toward character formation at the elementary school level. Through a literature review and library research, several issues are discussed. approach like thematic, value-based learning, active learning, and integration of local culture as a means of contextualizing values. The findings show that strategy learning Which interactive and relevant to everyday life, effective in instilling values such as love of the homeland, responsibility, tolerance, and honesty. This study also giveApplicative recommendations for teachers in designing civics learning that can strengthen students' character.
