Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic role of Citizenship Education (PKn) in Elementary Schools. In form character andawareness democracy participant educate. Method which used is literature study by examining various sources such as books, scientific journals, laws and related official documents civics, mark moral, as well as education democracy. Results studies showthat civics no only serve as transmitter material academic, but also as means formation character student which based on valuesPancasila and Constitution base 1945. Teacher own role central in foster attitudes, morals, and social skills of students. Furthermore, the democratic education embodied in civics is key to developing citizens who are aware of their rights and obligations. Through a contextual and participatory approach, civics can be a crucial instrument in instilling a culture of democracy and strengthening national identity amidst the challenges of globalization.
