Implementation of Citizenship Education to Form Democratic Character in Elementary School Students

This study aim for study in a way deep implementation education citizenship as means formation character democratic in students school base through approach studies library. The method used is a literature review, namely examine various source literature like books, journals scientific, and relevant articles with topic education character and learning of Pancasila and citizenship education (PPKn). Literature review this show that education citizenship own role strategic in implant values character democratic, such as freedom opinion, responsibility responsibility, tolerance, and attitude deliberation. Values this can implanted in a way effective if the teacher applies active, participatory, and contextual learning strategies. The implementation process education character in learning PPKn consists of from three stage main, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation, which must be done in a way sustainable . Study results this also emphasizes importance synergy between school, teachers, family and environment around in form character students. With thus, the study library this confirm that education character through eye lesson PPKn need designed in a way systematic and internalization oriented values democratic in life daily student.
