Understanding and Role of Citizens in Nation Building

Citizens play a central role in national development, serving as agents of change that drive progress in various fields. This article explains the definition and role of citizens in the context of national development, which is regulated by law and obligations as stated in the 1945 Constitution. Active citizen involvement creates social stability, quality human resources, and economic growth. Factors that influence citizen participation are grouped into internal and external factors. Efforts to increase participation must include education, wider access, and good leadership. By understanding and addressing these factors, development can be more effective and sustainable, creating an active and responsible society.
