Cultivating Social Concern in Elementary School Strategies

Abstract

Study descriptive qualitative this aim for know planting process mark concern social student low class and shapes mark concern social student class low in school base. Collection data with observation, interview and documentation. Results study show that process planting mark concern social student class low done through : 1) Integration in program development self in the form of activity routine school, activity spontaneous, exemplary behavior, and conditioning; 2) Integration in eye lesson by inserting mark character care social to in syllabus and RPP, includes mark character care social in process learning; 3) Integration in culture school in the form of integration in in class, school and activity outside school. Form mark concern social student class low among them 1) Share food with friends; 2) Saying thank you to people who give help; 3) Lending to each other equipment study fellow friend; 4) Gather funds and goods which still useful for victim disaster nature. Cultivating social awareness in school children is very easy and will be implemented well if it is done as a daily habit and assisted by their parents. Because currently many elementary school children lack a sense of social awareness in the community, for example laughing at friends who fall, less participation in mutual cooperation activities because they are busy with their cell phones. The purpose of this study is to reveal how parents' efforts in instilling an attitude of social awareness in the community of elementary school children. Parents instill an attitude of social awareness is first visiting the sick, second helping others by getting used to sharing, third participating in mutual cooperation held in the community and removing obstacles in the way. Method study this using the method studies library (library research). Method library research is collection method data with method understand and learn theories.
