This article aim for study the role of citizenship education (Pkn) in form character discipline and responsibility answer student school basic. Character the is part important from education characters that must be implanted since early in order to create generation a nation of quality and integrity. The method used in writing this is studies literature, namely with collect and analyze various source library like journal scientific, books and articles related topic discussion. Study results show that eye lesson civics own contribution significant in form attitude discipline and responsibility answer student through introduction Pancasila values, social norms, and obligations as citizens. Civics is also capable practice student for comply rules, respect time, and operate task with full awareness. The conclusion of study this confirm that civics play a role strategic in strengthening character student if taught in a way contextual, interactive, and relevant with life daily.
