Analysis Issues Critical in Education Citizenship in Middle School

Citizenship Education in secondary schools faces various challenges that affect its effectiveness in form character student as inhabitant country which active and responsible. The main challenges include the lack of relevance of teaching materials to life daily student, for understand and overcome issues this, study this study was conducted using a qualitative approach through a literature review method. This includes literature collection, selection criteria, thematic analysis, synthesis of results, and reporting. The research results reveal various issue crisis which become challenge main in implementation of civics education in secondary schools. Furthermore, students were more enthusiastic about learning when engaged in project-based activities or simulations such as debates and role-playing. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that civics education requires innovation, particularly in a more participatory and interactive teaching approach. This way, students not only understand national values but are also able to effectively integrate them into their daily lives.
