IMPLEMENTATION LEARNING CIVICS FOR INCREASE INTEREST IN LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS

This study aims to describe the implementation of Citizenship Education (PKN) learning in an effort to increase
interest in learning student school base (SD). Problems main which faced is the low interest study student to eye
lesson civics which considered not enough interesting and nature theoretical. Through active learning approaches,
such as group discussions, simulations, educational games, and the use of media interactive, students are more
involved in direct in the process learning. This study used a qualitative method with a case study approach on
fifth-grade students at a public elementary school. The results study show that implementation method learning
which varied and participatory in civics can increase students' interest in learning, as evidenced by increased
student engagement in the learning process, heightened curiosity, and improved learning outcomes. Therefore,
creatively and contextually designed civics learning can be an effective strategy for fostering students' interest in
learning from an early age.
