Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of the basic concepts of Citizenship Education. (PKN) in build character discipline And not quite enough answer students. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Which aim For describe in a way deep phenomenon Which This actually occurs in the field. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The research subjects were students and teachers in the Civics learning process at school. The results showed that the application of basic Civics concepts through value-based learning, discussion methods, case studies, and habituation in daily life at school significantly improved students' discipline and responsibility. This improvement in discipline was evident in student compliance with regulations school order, punctuality, and discipline in completing assignments consistently and responsibly. Meanwhile, the character of responsibility is demonstrated through students' awareness in completing individual and group assignments, as well as active participation in classroom learning activities on a regular basis. However, there are several obstacles in its implementation, such as a lack of consistency in enforcing rules and the diverse backgrounds of students in the school environment. Therefore, collaboration between teachers, schools, and parents is needed to support optimal and sustainable character development of students. Thus, it can be concluded that the integrated implementation of the basic concepts of Civics plays a vital role in building students' character of discipline and responsibility.
