Study This aim For analyze the role of Citizenship Education (PKn) in Elementary Schools in increase participation social and literacy citizenship students in the global era. Background study This based on the low level participation social and literacy citizenship students caused by learning that is still nature conventional as well as not enough contextual with life real . Research This use approach qualitative with method studies library (library research), which studies various source literature scientific relevant from 2020 to​ on . Data collection techniques were carried out through search article journals , books , and documents scientific , then analyzed use technique analysis content analysis. Research result show that Citizenship Education own role important in form character , improve awareness social , as well as develop ability think critical students . Application of learning models active learning , such as project-based learning and experiential learning, is proven capable increase participation social student in a way significant . In addition , integration technology in learning also contributes in increase literacy citizenship with give access more information​ broad and encouraging involvement student in a way interactive . However , it is still there is constraint in its implementation , such as limitations facilities , teacher competence , and lack of collaboration between school , family , and society . Therefore that , is necessary innovation learning , improvement teacher competency , as well as strengthening synergy between stakeholders interest For optimize role Civics in Elementary School.
