Education Citizenship own role important in form The character of elementary school students because it contains moral, social, and national values that can be applied in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the role of Civic Education in shaping character in elementary school children, identify various problems in its implementation, and provide solutions to improve learning effectiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method. Data were obtained from various secondary sources such as books, national and international scientific journals, research articles, and academic documents relevant to the research topic. Data collection techniques were carried out through literature searches, source selection based on relevance and credibility, and data grouping according to the research focus. Data analysis used content analysis and narrative synthesis to systematically integrate the results of previous research. The results show that Civic Education contributes to instilling the values of discipline, responsibility, tolerance, honesty, cooperation, and love of the homeland in elementary school students. However, the implementation of learning still faces several obstacles. like method learning Which too theoretical And oriented on memorization, lack of student involvement in the learning process, minimal cooperation between schools and families, and the negative influence of technological developments on student behavior. To address these problems, the implementation of learning methods is necessary. innovative Which centered on student, strengthening collaboration between school and people old, as well as utilization technology in a way wise in process learning so that Civic Education can be an effective means of forming a generation with character and integrity.
