IMPLEMENTATION OF THE VALUE CLARIFICATION TECHNIQUE (VCT) LEARNING APPROACH IN PKN LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Abstract

Study This aim For describe implementation approach Value Clarification Technique (VCT) in Citizenship Education ( PKn ) learning in Elementary Schools as well as the impact to internalization students ' moral values . Background behind study This is low involvement affective student in learning Civics which tends to Still nature memorization cognitive . Method research used​ is descriptive qualitative [ or Classroom Action Research , adapt with type your research ]. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation activity class , interview with teachers and students , as well as studies documentation . Research results show that implementation of VCT through three stage main — freedom choose , appreciate choice , and act — able increase participation active students and help they clarify values personal in a way independent . Research conclusions This is effective VCT approach in bridge understanding theory with action real , so that character student like honesty , responsibility responsibility and tolerance can formed more strong compared to with method conventional .
