Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between teacher teaching style and learning motivation in fifth grade students of Muhammadiyah 13 Elementary School, Medan. The population used in this study were all fifth grade students totaling 41 students. In this study, the researcher's sample used "totally sampling" which means that the
researcher took all the fifth grade population of Muhammadiyah 13 Elementary School, Medan, totaling 41 students. The type of this research is correlational research using quantitative methods. Data collection in this study used a questionnaire, namely a teacher teaching style questionnaire (Variable X) and a student learning motivation questionnaire (Variable Y). The data analysis technique used product moment correlation statistics and the t test. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a significant positive relationship between teacher teaching style and student learning motivation with a correlation index of r count = 0.625> r table = 0.308 and at count value = 5.006> t table = 1.684 with the hypothesis H0 rejected and Ha accepted with a correlation index of r count = 0.625> r table = 0.308 and at count value = 5.006> t table = 1.684 with the hypothesis H0 rejected and Ha accepted with a significant level of 39.0625%.
