Indonesia as a multicultural country has a diversity of cultures, ethnicities, religions, customs, traditions, and languages, which require a comprehensive approach to maintain national unity. Pancasila, as the foundation of life and state ideology, has an important role in uniting the nation through the practice of the values contained therein. The values in Pancasila provide a basis for respecting differences, strengthening human rights, and building a spirit of nationalism. Since the struggle for independence, awareness of the importance of unity has been a major factor in achieving the goals of independence. Unity is the main principle for maintaining political and social stability, strengthening national resilience, and encouraging equitable development in various regions of Indonesia. In addition, national unity also helps in facing global challenges, strengthening national identity, improving the quality of life of the community, and strengthening social cohesion and pride in the Indonesian nation. However, major challenges arise, especially among the younger generation who are starting to make Pancasila only a memorization without implementation. Another challenge is the influence of globalization which tends to obscure national values. Pancasila as the foundation of the state must continue to be implemented in everyday life so that its values can remain relevant and useful in building a more prosperous, just, and prosperous nation. Through efforts to strengthen education and socialize the values of Pancasila to the younger generation, it is hoped that the Indonesian nation will be able to maintain unity and integrity for the sustainability of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) which is harmonious and sovereign. The purpose of this journal is to describe the role of Pancasila in building the unity and integrity of the Indonesian nation. And the method used is literature review.
