CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION TO SHAPE STUDENT CHARACTER THROUGH THE SEARCH LEARNING MODEL AT SDN 066038 MEDAN

Abstract

The crisis of character in today's development has had a lot of impact on shaping the character of students who have not been fulfilled for effective learning. The civics education subject is one of the subjects that aims to build Pancasila values and character in students, so educators must choose the Search Method at SD Negeri 006038 Medan to meet Teacher Competency standards in teaching. The background of this research is lack of methods taught by Educators and aimed at teachers who create skills and work in the field of teaching. Data analysis was carried out through observation and documentation approaches.The research method uses a qualitative study approach or a descriptive approach where the basic language is obtained from the results of literature studies on book sources, relevant pre-existing journals, and scientific articles.Citizenship education strongly supports the social, moral, emotional and ethical development of students. Educationcharacter is a guide so that students, especially in elementary schools, become human beings with character in heart, intention, taste, and body (Nanda & Maulina, 2021). The research results show that (1) the lack of student teacher methods is still low (2) the selection of learning methods is still low (3) the teacher's lack of knowledge in the field of technology makes it difficult to apply. Education is an effort that is carried out consciously and also planned as a learning process so that every human being is ensured to be a person of good character, knowledge, noble character, logical thinking, creative and responsible.
