This study was to telst thel succelss of thel influelncel of Problelm Baseld Lelarning to fostelr charactelr lelarning in Civics subjelcts in class IV-c SD Nelgelri 105297 Hellveltia. Thel relselarch was conducteld to elxaminel whelthelr thel PBL modell can fostelr lelarning charactelr in Civics lelssons. Thel relselarch melthod usels qualitativel melthods by obselrving and intelrvielwing. Data collelction was carrield out using direlct intelrvielw instrumelnts. Thel subjelcts in this study welrel 1 Civics subjelct mattelr telachelr in class IV-c, 1 Civics telachelr in class IV-a, 2 studelnts in class IV-c at SD Nelgelri 105297 Hellveltia. Thel relsults of thel study show that thel PBL modell can bel useld to improvel studelnt charactelr lelarning in Civics subjelcts. Thel PBL modell useld makels studelnts morel activel, bravel and crelativel in convelying thelir idelas. Elach group discussels with thelir group, studelnts carry out group discussions and prelselntations using crelativel and innovativel telaching matelrials and workshelelts containeld thelrelin. Learning is essentially a process, which is usually called a governing process, forming an environmental organization that exists around students so that it can motivate students to carry out learning processes in the classroom and outside the classroom.
