The importance of speaking skills in an educational context cannot be ignored. Good speaking skills not only help students communicate well, but also prepare them for success in the real world. Therefore, effective learning methods to improve students' speaking skills are very important. In this case, the story telling method has proven effective in achieving this goal. Research has shown that the story telling learning method has a positive influence in improving students' speaking skills, especially children in elementary school. Using this method with audio media or big books is effective in improving children's speaking abilities. This media helps create an interesting and interactive learning environment, which can motivate students to talk and participate actively in the learning process. Apart from that, the story telling method also helps in developing elementary school students' language skills. In the story telling process, students not only learn to speak, but also to understand and use language well. They learn to understand the narrative structure, vocabulary, and grammar used in stories. Thus, the story telling method not only improves students' speaking skills, but also helps in developing their language skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the story telling method has a positive impact in improving elementary school students' speaking skills. Using this method with audio media or big books is effective in improving children's speaking abilities. Apart from that, the story telling method also helps in developing elementary school students' language skills, including expanding their vocabulary, helping them remember words, and improving their speaking abilities.
