The theory and practice of political education has become an important focus in responding to global environmental issues. This journal explores the crucial role of political education in forming people's political awareness of increasingly pressing environmental issues. In facing the challenges of climate change, deforestation and environmental degradation, a good understanding of these issues is key to acting effectively. Political education provides a strong foundation for society to understand the complex relationship between political policies and global environmental conditions. Through deeper understanding, society can recognize the implications of political policies on the environment and become active agents of change. Apart from that, political education also helps in developing analytical, critical and information literacy skills related to environmental issues. This allows the public to sort out valid information, identify hoaxes, and form informed opinions. This journal also highlights the need for awareness of environmental rights as part of human rights. People need to understand that a healthy environment is a right that must be protected. With this understanding, society will be more active in demanding environmental protection from responsible parties.
