Abstract

Civic education plays a crucial role in shaping students' character in schools. Implementation education citizenship at school not always walks fluent. There are many challenges faced by educators in convey material this with effective. Education citizenship also plays a role in build awareness social and empathetic student. With learn about various issues social, like poverty, inequality, or discrimination, students invited for understand others' perspectives and learning for care to well-being together.This research aims to explore the implementation of civic education in schools as an effort to build students' character. Using qualitative research methods, this study investigates the crucial role of civic education in shaping moral values, developing social and emotional skills, and encouraging critical and creative thinking among students. The research findings indicate that despite several challenges such as a packed curriculum and resource limitations, schools have shown innovation and commitment in overcoming these obstacles. In conclusion, civic education plays a significant role in shaping students' character in schools, with sustained support from educators, administrators, and policymakers to strengthen and expand its implementation.
