Application of National Defense in the Era of Advanced Technology in Learning Citizenship Education for Elementary School Students

Abstract

National defense is a concept contained in a country's statutory regulations regarding the patriotism of a person or group of people in a country. This research aims to find out and analyze more deeply regarding building awareness of national defense attitudes among the millennial generation and elementary school students in the national defense system. As well as reviewing what efforts and to what extent have been made by Indonesian citizens and society to build their awareness in defending the Republic of Indonesia. In this research study, the method used is descriptive research through media and data collection techniques which are carried out by reviewing, and /or exploring journals, documents and other sources of data and information that are relevant to the research. In a country, every citizen is obliged to defend the country, where defending the country is a manifestation of the citizen's sense of love for their country, especially instilling an attitude of defending the country among the younger generation who have been battered by technological advances. This research uses a descriptive method and uses a qualitative approach. This research begins with finding and preparing a design for the problems to be discussed. In this study, the researcher discusses the development of a national defense attitude that elementary school students should acquire. Researchers limit the problem to the attitude of defending the country aimed at elementary school children in order to advance the quality of the nation's children. The main objective to be achieved is to systematically describe the facts and characteristics regarding the cultivation and development of a state defense attitude in elementary school students. It is hoped that through research conducted elementary school students will receive teaching about the state defense attitude when learning in class and outside the classroom.
