Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of the moral fading values of the nation's generation which are owned by students in elementary schools. Education is one way of instilling these morals in students by learning civic education. The purpose of this research is to find out how important it is to instill morals in students through learning civics education in elementary schools. The method used in this research is a literature study by collecting bibliographical data from various sources in scientific journals that are relevant to the topic being discussed. The results of the discussion show that the importance of learning civics education in elementary schools is in instilling morals in students through inculcating positive values based on the values contained in Pancasila. In addition, the role of the teacher is needed in educating and motivating students to become generations of good morals today and in the future. Therefore civics education has a very positive impact in efforts to instill morals in students in behaving as good citizens.
