Analysis of Basic Concepts of Citizenship Education in Preparing the Young Generation to Face Global Challenges

Abstract

Globalization presents various challenges and opportunities for the nation. In the midst of the rapid flow of information and culture, citizenship education is the key to building an intelligent, critical and responsible young generation. This education instills basic values and national identity, fosters tolerance and mutual respect, and develops critical thinking skills. The aim of this research is to find out the basic concepts and role of citizenship education in preparing the younger generation and to find out how to face the global challenges that the younger generation will face. The method used in this research is library research . The results of this research state that citizenship education must continue to be improved and developed so that the younger generation can become agents of positive change in overcoming global challenges.
