Abstract

This research was conducted to find out and analyze more deeply about the Jigsaw Type Cooperative Learning Model in Civics Learning in Elementary Schools. The type of research used is a literature study through using 10 journal articles in the journal publishing period of the last 10 years. The cooperative jigsaw learning model activates learning conditions. Changing teacher-centered learning strategies can be realized Student - centered learning strategies mean that students must participate in cooperative learning activities such as jigsaws, rather than entrusting teachers to give them instructions. This model gives students the opportunity to create conclusions about the topics they study. The written data used in this study came from scientific journal books and previous research. The study shows that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model improves student learning outcomes, especially in PPKN. This model can also improve students' memory, participation, confidence, and group cooperation skills.
