Abstract

Citizenship Education ( PKn ) in Elementary Schools plays a role role essential in to form character and awareness nation in children since age early. Review this literature aiming for identify and analyze contribution Civics in develop attitude democratic, sense of responsibility answer social, as well as understanding to rights and obligations as citizens. This research use approach literature review for investigate role education citizenship for school basis. Data collected from various source literature like journal scientific, books and articles popular relevant with topic research. Analysis literature show that learning effective civics can increase understanding student to values nationality, such as tolerance, work same, and love homeland. Although thus, the challenge in implementation Civics in Elementary Schools, such as method inadequate teaching innovative and limited source teacher power, still become obstacles that need to be overcome be noticed. Therefore that, is needed development method more learning contextual and interactive use maximize role civics. Research conclusion this is education citizenship in elementary school plays a role important in grow awareness citizenship and basic moral values required in life community. Development method learning Innovative and relevant civics is essential for support achievement the objective.
