The purpose of this research is to examine the teacher's role in handling and preventing bullying at the elementary school level. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. Education needs to be programmed in a planned manner so that educational goals can be achieved optimally and cooperation between all parties, including teachers as implementers of character education learning, is needed. With character education, students are not only intellectually intelligent but also emotionally intelligent. So that when there is a problem it can be solved wisely without hurting himself or others. Bullying is a form of aggressive, violent action, hurting other people that is carried out continuously. At present character education has begun to decline, such as the rise of bullying in elementary schools. The causes are varied, ranging from a family environment that is always fighting, shows that are less educational, a community environment that is less child-friendly, and even teachers who still do not fully understand how to deal with bullying behavior at school. The subject criteria in this study were that all teachers taught on average for more than 3 years totaling around 5 teachers. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, data presentation and inductive data analysis conclusion. From the results of the study indicate that the forms of bullying that occur in elementary school are in the form of verbal and physical bullying. Teachers also provide input to parents about the dangers of bullying behavior so that parents can always monitor children's behavior.
