Abstract

Civic Education (PKN) is one of the important subjects in elementary school that can help foster a sense of love

for the homeland. Love for the homeland is an attitude that can be seen from how someone is willing to defend,

protect, and even be willing to sacrifice for their nation and country. This feeling of love for the homeland

should be instilled since children are still small, especially in elementary school students, so that they can grow

into good and responsible citizens. Love for the homeland is not only about remembering the national anthem,

but also how children can appreciate, protect, and feel proud US part of the Indonesian nations. This study aims

to develop an attitude of love for the homeland in elementary school students, so that they can contribute to

improving the quality of the Indonesian nation in the future. The writing of this journal was made with a

qualitative approach in the form of a literature review from various journals and trusted sources. The results

show that through PKN lessons, Students can learn to know the nation, understand the importance of unity, and

appreciate the culture and symbols of the country. Teachers have a big role in instilling this spirit through

creative and fun learning methods.
