The teaching profession has a code of ethics that supports the dignity of the profession, protects activities and maintains collective welfare, increases professional commitment and increases the quality and quality of the profession from supporting professional associations. Through ethical guidelines, teachers must be able to act optimally and professionally, especially in developing the character and ethics of students and continue to be able to realize the authority of scientific institutions, educational institutions and professions for which they are responsible. Preparing the current generation is an important thing that must be done in preparation for the future. Students as prospective teachers, especially elementary school teachers, must build and prepare their character and personality as guided by the times. For this reason, this journal is motivated by efforts to build the character and personality of students as prospective teachers with Ethics and Profession in Education, which is a forum that aims to provide character education for students. Moral qualities that uphold professional ethical values are more important than mastery of material, that is what is called a professional teacher. Teacher education in higher education needs to prepare prospective teachers with character by integrating character education. Lectures on ethics and the teaching profession are relevant to the character education process as an effort to implement character values for future teacher candidates. Because having teachers with character will create students with character too. Because teachers are adults who are role models for their students at school, and teachers are also substitutes for students' parents at home. However, parental support is also needed to increase students' enthusiasm for learning so that they become students with character.Teachers are obliged to fulfill the rights of students who have relatively good character. The teacher's position as a determinant of learning is closely related to the teacher's role in improving quality.
