The purpose of this writing isprovide knowledge to readers. about the characteristics of students in order to maximize learning, namely by understanding each student's characteristics from various intelligences and learning styles. So that learning can run smoothly, namely with an even distribution of students' understanding of various characteristics. With smooth learning, the goals of the learning will be easily achieved and will benefit teachers and students. Student characteristics are defined as characteristics of the individual qualities of students who These generally include, among other things, academic ability, age and level of maturity, motivation for the subject, experience, skills, motor skills, cooperative abilities, and social abilities. Writing this article uses the literature study method, by looking at various sources or references such as books and several other journals that deal with the same material as the journal I wrote. In this way, learning goals can be achieved without having to put pressure on students. The characteristics of each child are different, teachers need to understand the initial characteristics of students so that they can easily manage everything related to learning, including choosing management strategies, which relate to how to organize teaching, the abilities they have so that the teaching components can according to the characteristics of the students, ultimately the learning can be more meaningful. In addition, the teacher's understanding of the characteristics of students can foster feelings of comfort in studying at school.
