Abstract

The basic education curriculum now includes civic education, and all levels of basic education teach civics. Achieving the goals of national education is the goal and role of civic education. This research was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method. The study of ethics, morality, and social values teaches students how to be moral, responsible, and kind individuals. They grow into honest, kind and responsible individuals. They gain an understanding of the importance of cooperation, acceptance, and compassion for others - all of which are essential elements in the formation of positive character. The importance of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKN) in Primary Schools (SD) is increasing due to the complexity of contemporary issues around the world and the rapid transformation of society. Primary education is considered a basic element in shaping the identity and character of Indonesia's young generation. Ppkn helps students in understanding the basic ideas of the nation, such as Unity in Diversity, Pancasila, and the 1945 Constitution. This fosters a strong sense of civic responsibility and patriotism.
