IMPLEMENTATION OF DEMOCRACY VALUES THROUGH PKN LEARNING IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

This study aims to find out: (1) Application of democratic values, (prayer) Initiative and inhibiting factors, and (three) Solutions to overcome obstacles to the implementation of democratic values through civic education. This type of research is descriptive and qualitative research. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out by reducing, interpreting, and concluding data. The results of the study show (1) The application of democratic values is carried out by including democratic values in the syllabus and RPP includes tolerance, cooperation, freedom of opinion, mutual respect and self-confidence. (2) Supporting factors are learning facilities, school culture and school leadership. Barriers These factors are the decline of supportive parents, in the community environment, and personal differences. (3) It is an awareness solution from parents to pay attention to their children, community involvement, and establish good communication with students. This learning is expected to be able to create student attitudes in accordance with the Pancasila precepts. The fact shows that many students are less interested in learning PKN. Other facts also reveal the teacher's ignorance in designing material according to student characteristics, so that it can make students bored, bored and undisciplined in participating in learning.
