Abstract

Teachers are highly respected by everyone because they play an important role in the success of learning in schools. Teachers are also very instrumental in helping the development of students to achieve their abilities. Learners receive education, coaching and learning and guidance so that they can develop optimally. The teacher code of ethics is the basis for the behavior of Indonesian educators in carrying out professional responsibilities in the field of education. The main purpose of the code of ethics is to provide assurance so that the work of a profession runs as expected and also to protect the needs of all parties as appropriate. The main purpose of formulating a code of ethics is to guarantee that the work of a profession runs as expected and to protect the needs of all parties as appropriate. The problem in this study is the role and function of the teacher's code of ethics in the development of education. So, this research aims to provide information to readers about the role and function of the teacher's code of ethics in educational development by reviewing information and connecting with previous research. To achieve the desired learning objectives and provide excellent results, professional teachers are expected to play an excellent role in which they must be able to carry out all stages of good learning activities and processes. Results that are in line with expectations can be obtained through expected learning. The implementation of tasks that demonstrate knowledge both materially and methodologically will be reflected in the performance of professional teachers. With this knowledge, a teacher can demonstrate his independence as a person and as a member of his profession.
