Citizenship education is very important to give birth to a young generation who is aware of the values of tolerance and ethnic diversity. Currently, Indonesia is a country with many different tribes, religions and cultures. Therefore, instilling the values of tolerance and ethnic diversity in citizenship education is very important to create an inclusive and harmonious society. The aim of this research is to find out and analyze how to increase tolerance scores in elementary school students. This research uses a qualitative approach. The data used in this research is descriptive. Descriptive research examines the problems and ways people function in society and in certain situations, including human relationships, actions, attitudes and points of view, as well as ongoing processes and their impacts. The introduction of the values of tolerance and ethnic diversity in citizenship education leads to the formation of mutual respect and respect as well as the ability to respond to differences of opinion wisely and non-discriminatorily. It can be concluded from the previous article that the values of tolerance and diversity are contained in citizenship education. This is very important to do in order to build a harmonious and peaceful society.
